Kelly Clarkson Announces New Single Releasing This Week

Kelly Clarkson just announced her new single, “Broken & Beautiful” will be released on Wednesday. The song is from the soundtrack of her upcoming movie, UglyDolls.

“Broken & Beautiful” is from the soundtrack of UglyDolls. Kelly voices the main character in the movie, Moxy. Moxy is the leader of a group of dolls who come from Uglyville. In Uglyville, weirdness is celebrated and strangeness is special. Kelly’s character is trying to lead her friends to the town of Perfection. But when they reach Perfection, they realize just how different they are, and how valuable their uniqueness can be. The Voice‘s Blake Shelton and new fifth coach Bebe Rexha also voice characters in the movie.
The film will have songs by all of these artists and then some, including Nick Jonas, Why Don’t We, and Pentatonix! Kelly has four other songs that will be featured in addition to the upcoming single as well. The full soundtrack is scheduled to release on April 26th by Atlantic Records.
And if you want to see UglyDolls, the film will be in theaters everywhere on May 3rd. Rumor has it the release date was moved up so it wouldn’t have to compete with Detective Pikachu‘s first weekend (which might have been why Kelly struggled to remember it right away).
But either way, it should be a cute movie with an empowering message! And we are excited to hear all the songs Kelly will sing on the soundtrack.
