Fans of The Voice were eager to tune into Clarkson’s return to the competition show. After a near three year hiatus, Clarkson has officially returned to the show with a brand new look. The 43 year old is now being styled with a bob haircut and minimal makeup.

After the show’s premiere, a fan created a Reddit thread, inquiring about Clarkson being “makeup free this season?” Other fans quickly debunked this theory, saying that she’s “hardly make up free it’s just not over done.”

“Her eyes & cheeks are very subtle and I love it,” another user commented. “Interestingly the red lipstick blends right in seamlessly. It’s a great look.”

Another user shared that this look makes her look “much younger” especially after “slimming down.”

“Love her look as almost an homage to when she had her first big killer vocal on American Idol with ‘Natural Woman,'” another user commented. “She wore something very similar!”

The first singer to join Team Kelly was 19 year old singer Julia Golden, who sang “Strawberry Wine,” followed by boy band tribute member Jonah Mayor who sang “Il Mondo” by Jimmy Fontana.
