Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend on 'The Voice Battle of Champions'

The Voice will return later this month for Season 29, Battle of Champions. To promote the new season, coaches John Legend, Adam Levine, and Kelly Clarkson teamed up to perform “We Are the Champions.”

The Voice Coaches Sing ‘We Are the Champions’

The Voice Season 29 will feature three coaches instead of the usual four. Clarkson, Legend, and Levine will be competing against each other in a Battle of Champions. So it’s appropriate that they teamed up to sing “We Are the Champions” by Queen in a new promo for the season.

The clip begins with Legend sitting at the piano performing a dramatic rendition of the track, before he’s interrupted by a crowd of screaming fans rushing to watch Levine strum an electric guitar and sing his own version of the song.

It’s not long before Clarkson appears to show off some impressive high notes, backed by an angelic choir. The trio finishes things off by singing together, but they’re still trying to steal each other’s spotlight. Ultimately, all three of them are blocked by host Carson Daly, who shows up to strum a harp in front of them.

When Does the New Season Premiere?

Season 29 of The Voice is set to premiere on Monday, February 23, at 9/8c on NBC. It will also be available to stream the following day on Peacock. Ahead of the premiere, the show also shared a sneak peek at John Legend’s return to the show.

Legend shares that he’s “ready to win” the show. He also says that he and his fellow Battle of Champions coaches “really, genuinely love and respect each other” and are “having so much fun” filming together this season.

In the clip, Legend also explains that each coach will only have 10 artists on their team this season. The teaser also includes a sneak peek at some notable moments from the Blind Auditions — including a potential duet between Legend and one of the auditioning singers.
