Kelly Clarkson has finally announced more dates in Sin City. After claiming that her Las Vegas residency would only be 10 days, the pop megastar is extending her Chemistry: An Intimate Evening, this winter.

Kelly Clarkson Adds Four More Dates to Las Vegas Residency

On Monday, Clarkson announced that she’ll be heading back to Sin City to perform four more dates for her Chemistry: An Intimate Evening residency. Her show will happen around New Year’s Eve and Super Bowl weekend next February.

“I’m coming back Vegas! We are adding new shows to my exclusive Las Vegas engagement! See y’all December 30th, 31st & February 9th & 10th at Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood!” she wrote.

Originally, the “Breakaway” singer didn’t have any plans of extending the residency. She previously clarified that she’d only be available for 10 shows because she needed to ease up on her schedule.

“I could only commit to 10 shows, that’s why it’s exclusive,” Clarkson told The Kelly Clarkson Show audience when she announced the residency. “I ain’t adding more, I’m telling you right now. Mama needs a little bit, a minute of a break.”

At the time, Clarkson performed her song hits, from her newest LP Chemistry to her favorite Kellyoke songs. The pop star belted out Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” and Harry Styles’ “As It Was.”

In one of her residency performances at Planet Hollywood in August, her two kids joined her onstage for a big moment. Clarkson reflected on the special night on Instagram, stating that “nothing will ever be as cool and amazing” as her children. The singer shares son Remington Alexander and daughter River Rose with former husband Brandon Blackstock.

Chemistry: An Intimate Evening celebrates her most recent album of the same name. This recent music collection features tracks including “Mine,” “Me,” and “Favorite Kind of High.”

She Says Move from LA to New York is a “Beautiful Gift”

Clarkson is currently committing to her mama duties alongside her hosting role on The Kelly Clarkson Show. The eponymous talk show has recently kicked off its season five, premiering in its newest studio in New York City.

After her divorce from Blackstock, Clarkson and her kids moved to New York for a “fresh start.” While she thought at first that transferring to another place was a “horrible decision,” she later realized that she made the right choice.

According to the singer, she’s now in a “great place” with her kids. It’s also been a bonus that she’s now more comfortable to work for The Kelly Clarkson Show.

“I feel like a weight has lifted. That move was very needed,” she said. “I think the thing I’m most excited about with Season Five on a selfish level, is just showing up to work smiling and actually meaning it. That’s a beautiful gift that you don’t realize until you’re out of it.”

In a previous backstage interview with Audacy, Clarkson talked how her kids have been adjusting to the New York City life. Fortunately, the two have been liking the city so far.

“My son walked out of his school and was like, ‘This is the right school for me. The other one didn’t fit like this one,'” she said.
