Kelly Clarkson is taking over the airwaves with the launch of her own SiriusXM channel. The pop star is expanding her radio presence with the announcement of a new channel titled Kelly Clarkson Connection.
Kelly Clarkson Will Have Her Own Radio Channel
SiriusXM, the leading audio entertainment company, has made waves with the release of new channels and a revamped app, marking a significant shift in its brand identity. The highly anticipated launch includes a list of ten new channels, with a focus on artist-centric programs and genre-specific playlists.
One of the most exciting additions is the Kelly Clarkson Connection on channel 12, offering fans an intimate look into the music and inspirations of the pop sensation. The channel will showcase Clarkson’s own music catalog as well as songs and artists that have inspired the Grammy-winning singer.
“Music is such a personal experience for all of us, and I am stoked to have the opportunity to curate a channel of all of my favorites,” Clarkson said. “I hope that people tune in and enjoy it as much as I loved making it!”
Clarkson and her band performed on SiriusXM’s Next Generation Industry & Press Preview in New York City. During the event, she introduced her brand new channel, which will air on Channel 12. She also playfully mentioned that she isn’t a fan of odd numbers and hence chose the even number.
Kelly Clarkson Will Host The Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony
Clarkson is set for an exceptionally busy holiday season this year. On top of launching her SiriusXM channel, the Kelly Clarkson Connection, the pop star will also be hosting the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on November 29.
This will mark Clarkson’s first time hosting the star-studded event, which attracts massive crowds each year. She will not only host the event but also perform several songs, allowing her whole family to take part in the special night.
“I’m so excited to consider this city and Rockefeller Center my new home, and I can’t imagine a better way to kick off Christmas this year than to be a part of this beautiful New York tradition with the lighting of the tree!” Clarkson said.
The singer is no stranger when it comes to the iconic tree lighting. She first performed at the event 20 years ago as a rising star and has returned to the Rockefeller stage several times since then.
