Keke Palmer Files Restraining Order Against Darius Jackson, Requests Full Custody of Their Son
In a series of court documents filed before the Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by Us Weekly, Palmer accused Jackson of abusing her multiple times throughout their two-year romance.
Particularly, she cited an incident on November 5 where the fitness instructor allegedly “trespassed into [her] home without [her] knowledge or consent.” The actress further claimed that Jackson threatened her before attacking her and stealing her phone.
Furthermore, Palmer mentioned an instance from 2022 where Jackson allegedly grabbed her neck and slammed her body onto the stairs. The 30-year-old actress claimed that her allegations could be proven with security camera footage.
Additionally, the star stated that her ex-boyfriend destroyed her personal property and threw some of them into the street. The actress also alleged that Darius even hurled her car keys to prevent her from driving away.
According to Palmer, Darius also allegedly hit her and spew profanities about her in front of their son. He also allegedly threatened to kill himself with a gun if she left him.
In her declaration, Palmer said that her relationship with Jackson ended in early October due to such abusive circumstances. On top of the restraining order against him, Palmer also requested full custody of Leodis.
Los Angeles Court Grants Both Filings
Days after Palmer filed her documents before the Los Angeles County Superior Court, she was granted temporary sole custody of her son. A judge also accepted her request for a domestic violence restraining order against Jackson.
Consequently, Jackson must not stay at least 100 yards away from Palmer and Leodis. The court also temporarily orders him to make no visitation with their son “until further order of the court.”
Palmer and Jackson’s messy relationship is no secret to the public. In July, Jackson received backlash after he publicly shamed Palmer on X (formerly Twitter) for her outfit during an Usher concert. At the time, Palmer wore a tight-fitting bodysuit under a sheer dress as she was being serenaded on stage by the singers.
“It’s the outfit tho … you a mom,” Jackson wrote.
After receiving harsh criticism, Jackson deleted his social media accounts. However, before doing so, he further elaborated on his opinion.
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he added at the time. “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”
In August, an unknown source told Us that Palmer and Jackson’s relationship became “complicated” after the Usher drama.
“Those close to them hope they can work things out for the sake of themselves and their child,” the insider stated. “They have to resolve things on their own.”
