Keke Palmer Gives Birth to Her First Child, Shares Sweet Photos

Actress Keke Palmer is officially a mom after giving birth to her first child with her partner Darius Jackson. The pair welcomed a baby boy named Leodis Andrellton Jackson earlier this month. Palmer shared some cute photos of the baby, nicknamed Leo, on Instagram.

Palmer started her Instagram announcement about Leo’s birth by sharing a selfie of her and Jackson just 48 hours after becoming parents. She also shared a cute clip where she sings “Someone” by El DeBarge in the car with Jackson beside her and the baby in the back seat.

In the caption, Palmer wrote, “We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God!”

The Nope actress also shared a sweet photo of the couple with baby Leo in the hospital, as well as a couple of snaps of the little one’s face. As Palmer wrote of Leodis in the post’s caption, “Born during Black History Month, with a name to match.”

A Twitter user responded to news of the baby’s name by writing, “That name sound like it led a civil rights march.” Palmer retweeted the remark, adding, “It’s giving I marched with Martin, purrrr.”

Palmer Announced Her Pregnancy on SNL

Palmer confirmed that she was pregnant in December, during her first-ever hosting monologue for Saturday Night Live. After acknowledging that there were rumors she was expecting a baby, the actress unbuttoned her jacket to reveal her baby bump.

Palmer’s partner Darius Jackson works as a fitness instructor. Last year, she opened up to Tamron Hall about sharing their relationship on social media, saying, “It became more difficult to hide.”

“We spend all this time together, and he really is my closest friend,” Palmer said of Jackson, “so it just becomes a thing where I’m not gonna hide something that makes me happy.”
