Katy Perry looks like she is ready to pop any day now as the singer awaits the arrival of her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom. She revealed on “Hits Radio Breakfast” the adorable nickname she gave to her baby girl after continuously feeling her kick.

While we don’t exactly know when Katy and Orlando’s baby is due, the singer revealed that she is “putting out a baby” soon along with putting out her album. When asked about whether or not she has been playing music for the baby or feeling any movement, Katy said “I call her Kicky Perry sometimes.” She continued on to say “I love a pun.” Katy has remained “really active right now.” She said that her doctors advised her to stay active as she nears the end of her pregnancy so she has been singing and dancing a lot, causing her baby to kick.

Katy also said that she loves working from home because it keeps her busy and makes the time fly by as she can’t wait to meet her daughter. The coronavirus pandemic has forced her to do a ton of remote work including talk show appearances and performances but the American Idol judge will be shifting gears after the baby is born to take on this new chapter of motherhood. Katy’s newest album “Smile” is set to drop on August 14, but will the baby arrive before or after? She recently released the titular song and fans have absolutely been loving it while she showed off her pregnant belly in the music video.
Orlando Has Been A Big Help Preparing For The Baby
Orlando is ready to be a dad for the second time as he shares 9-year-old son Flynn with model Miranda Kerr. His daddy experience has helped Katy a lot when preparing for the baby including picking out necessities. She spoke about how the couple went to pick out strollers and he knew exactly which one to get. “Some of the strollers are very chic, they’ve got leather handles and blah, blah, blah,” she said. “I was like really drawn to them, right? And he’s like ‘No, let me show you what the stroller is. It’s this one that you pick up in the middle and it collapses — a little thing — and it’s like an umbrella!'” For Katy, it was “sexy” to see Orlando in total dad mode and she is grateful that he has so much knowledge and experience.

During an appearance on Good Morning America, Orlando spoke about how excited he is to become a girl dad. “I’m really looking forward to those very late nights where I’ll probably be getting up and doing a bottle, breastfeed-bottle thing because I won’t be obviously breastfeeding, but I’m sure there will be bottles…I’m looking forward to that because I love those quiet times at night when the world feels like it’s asleep and you’ve got a sleeping baby” he gushed.
