Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton recently shared the advice her co-star Paul Rudd gave her about which acting jobs to take. Newton plays Cassie Lang, the daughter of Rudd’s character Scott Lang, in the new Marvel movie.

Kathryn Newton Shares Paul Rudd’s Advice for Her

Newton told Us Weekly that Rudd gave her “good advice” when she wasn’t sure what to do about a couple of projects she had been offered. As she explained, “I like everything. I’ll say yes to anything.”

“He said, ‘If there’s no one that you think could do this part better than you, if you’re the only one that can play this role, then you should do it’,” Newton recalled. “‘That way, you’re elevating it. If you can bring something to the role, then you should do it. But if you can’t and, like, someone else could do it better, then just don’t do it.’”

Newton said Rudd’s advice “really helped me,” adding, “I’d love to only do movies that I feel like only I could do because I’m the only one in the world that could play this part. And that’s how I felt about Cassie Lang.”

Quantumania Is Now in Theaters

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the third Ant-Man movie in the Marvel cinematic universe, following 2015’s Ant-Man and 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. The new installment also co-stars Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.

The new movie finds the characters exploring the Quantum Realm, as Scott’s daughter Cassie wants to follow in his footsteps. The characters end up becoming separated, as Scott and Cassie are together in one place, and Hope, Janet, and Hank are together in another.

The movie is now in theaters. Have you seen it yet? Let us know in the comments below.
