Julianne Hough Revisits Her Multiple Roles on ‘DWTS’ Throughout the Years
Season 32 of DWTS is obviously not getting farther, and fans are no way not anticipating any big changes. Apparently, not only head judge Len Goodman will be leaving the show, but also supermodel Tyra Banks who served as the series’ co-host for three years. Recently, it has been confirmed that Julianne Hough will be replacing her on stage.
Last March 22, Hough went to Instagram to look back on her lengthy years with DWTS. She posted short video clip, showing a number of milestones she’s achieved as part of the long-running dancing competition.
“What an incredible journey it has been to literally grow up with all of you in the ballroom and at home!” she wrote. “September can’t come soon enough.”
Hough first graced DWTS in 2006 as a company dancer amid the first ever Dancing With The Stars Live Tour. She then became a DWTS pro from 2007 to 2009, securing back-to-back wins during her time. After almost five years, Hough came back in the show as a judge, joining Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman in the panel. It is thus valid to say that Hough has indeed travelled a remarkable journey in the series.
In the next season of DWTS though, Hough is expected to be onstage beside co-host Alfonso Riberio. As she replaced Banks’ job, she is to assume the role of chatting with celebrities and pros after their performances.
Carrie Ann Inaba Pays Tribute to Her, Welcomes Her Back
Happy to hear the news, DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba voluntarily disrupted her social media detox to congratulate Hough. In an Instagram post, Inaba shared a slideshow of her past snaps with Hough, showing their intimate bond in the previous years. She also told her followers how well-rounded Hough is as far as the series is concerned.
“I can only say, that it’s a natural fit and it’s just testimony to the family spirit at @dancingwiththestars,” she wrote. “She may already have a real brother on the panel, but she feels like a sister to me as well.”
Inaba concluded her post by welcoming Hough back in DWTS, saying the she’s looking forward to a “fantastic” season with her. No exact date has been announced regarding the premiere of season 32. Nonetheless, the dance reality series will still air on Disney+.
