Julianne Hough On Dolly Parton’s Tour Bus
Julianne showed off some of the highlights of Dolly’s tour bus, including all the signature butterflies. The beds also feature monogrammed pillows for the crew, because, as Julianne says, Dolly is a “class act.”
The bus also includes a glamorous vanity, as well as a closet full of some of Dolly’s dresses. There’s a guitar on Dolly’s bed, and a wig on the counter.
Later, Julianne posted a video from the car on the way to the premiere, and shared that she lost the earrings she was supposed to wear with her dress. “So I am wearing a pair of Dolly’s,” Julianne explained, showing off the sparkly accessories. “So, thanks Dolly.”
What Is ‘Heartstrings,’ Dolly Parton’s New Series?
Last year, Dolly described Heartstrings as a series of “movies … based on songs I’ve written.” Some of the songs include “Jolene,” “Down From Dover,” and “Sugar Hill.” The movies will premiere November 22 on Netflix.
Julianne Hough will be appearing as the title character in the “Jolene” installment. The dancer, singer, and actress sported red hair for the role. Dolly stars with her in the story, as a character who mentors Jolene, an aspiring musician.
“I get to be Jolene, one of the most iconic characters she’s written about,” Julianne told People of the role. “I’m extremely pumped and honored to be doing music with Dolly. I sing in it, and I sing with her.”
