Jordin Sparks is Dropping Brand-New Single “Call My Name” This Week

Multi-platinum artist Jordin Sparks is putting out a brand-new single ahead of Halloween. Titled “Call My Name,” the upcoming song releases on Friday, October 13.
Jordin Sparks to Release New Single “Call My Name”
Last weekend, the Dancing With The Stars alum announced her latest gift to her supporters. In the post, Sparks also hinted about her plans to release more music.
“Friday, October 13th, my new single, ‘Call My Name’ will be out into the world! That’s a week from today—I’m so excited!! This is only the beginning,” she wrote.
According to the singer, “Call My Name” is an “ode to a love so full, effortless and pure,” with peace and contentment within it. The song has an old school and R&B vibe — an aspect she loved the most about the single.
“You’ve all witnessed my rocky road in love and now you can hear the culmination of what I’ve learned and now know in my bones,” she wrote in another Instagram post.
“Call My Name” is written by the Sparks alongside Dwayne Abernathy, Matthew Jarragin, Nicholas Stone, Matisse Pasillas and Cole Fredrick. She also co-produced the song with her “favorite alien genius” Dem Jointz. In the same post, she paid tribute to the producer, who she said to have “spent what feels like years with me in the studio to create this next project.”
She concluded the post by describing “Call My Name” is “only the tip of the iceberg.” In the meantime, fans can pre-add it on Apple Music and pre-save it on Spotify and other audio-streaming platforms.
Fans are Excited for This Upcoming Single
Soon after Sparks announced her new music, fans immediately expressed their excitement for the upcoming release. Clearly, her supporters can’t wait to hear the song before the weekend kicks off.
“YESSS ONLY THE BEGINNING,” one fan wrote. “The world isn’t ready for this bop sis.”
“Counting down the days!” another person wrote.
“Ugh am soooo excited! I know this song is going to be dope,” another fan commented.
Meanwhile, one fan guessed that there might be an album coming from Sparks that will probably signal her new era. On the other hand, a fan suggested that the American Idol alum must have a music tour in the future.
“Call My Name” follows the release of “Stop This Feeling (feat. Rist Flik).” Additionally, fans are yet to see if this song will follow the footsteps of her latest No. 1 hit, “Love Me Like I Am.” The song recently gained a DOVE nomination.
The release of the song comes after Sparks performs the National Anthem for Las Vegas Aces during Game 1 of Women’s National Basketball Association Finals 2023.
