Dancing With The Stars alum JoJo Siwa is temporarily leaving the glitz and glam of Hollywood to join the second season of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. The “Boomerang” singer is among the 14 celebrities to withstand the challenge of the competition series.

JoJo Siwa Announces Participation in Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 2

On August 1, Siwa revealed her involvement in the reality show via Instagram. The Dance Moms alum shared a compilation of her snaps during the filming alongside the trailer of the competition. In her short caption, she invited her followers to watch by putting the premier date of the series.

“There are no votes and no eliminations – just survival,” the official show description reads. “These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, quickly learn the meaning of ‘no guts, no glory’ – and no glam.”

According to FOX, contestants will be enduring “the harsh reality of winter warfare training” with challenges copied from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process. These challenges range from submerging their bodies in a frozen lake, to climbing the top of a mountain peak, to attempting to escape a helicopter submerged underwater.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test has no elimination process. Hence, the only way the recruits can escape is if they give up, get injured, or are forced to leave by the show’s Directing Staff.

Aside from Siwa, the cast includes Tom Sandoval, Blac Chyna, Nick Viall, Tyler Cameron, Robert Horry, Dez Bryant, Bode Miller, Erin Jackson. Savannah Chrisley, Jack Osbourne, Tara Reid, and Brian Austin Green.

Fans Express Their Support for The Dance Moms Alum

Now, fans finally have an answer as to why Siwa had been inactive for a while on social media. In turn, her followers quickly expressed their reaction for the DWTS alum. One person even shared their thoughts on why Siwa is ahead of other competitors.

“Tbh I think you’re a good fit for this. You have endurance from dance, you work out often and thus are fit, and you have youthfulness on your side! Your competition is good but not as good as you,” the user wrote.

“Look at this lil badass! This is so cool, JoJo. I totally respect and admire the way you’re always challenging yourself and testing your limits,” another person wrote.

Meanwhile, DWTS pro Lindsay Arnold explained how thrilled she is for Siwa, with her newest career venture.

“You have no idea how excited I am for this!!!!” Arnold stated.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test will begin airing on September 25, 2023 on FOX.
