Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner Finalize Divorce After Five Years of Marriage

Jonas Brothers star Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner have officially finalized their divorce, one year after Jonas filed to dissolve their marriage. The couple tied the knot five years ago, and they share two daughters.

According to AP News, a Miami-Dade County judge approved a confidential agreement between Jonas and Turner last Friday. The former couple reportedly agreed to split their assets, as well as spousal support and custody of their children.
Judge Gina Beovides called the marriage “irretrievably broken,” and shared her belief that the couple’s agreement was in the family’s best interest. Neither Jonas nor Turner has publicly commented on the finalization of their divorce.
The couple started dating in 2016 and got engaged the next year. They got married in Las Vegas in May 2019, before having a bigger wedding in Paris the next month. The couple welcomed two daughters together, in 2020 and 2022.

Jonas Filed for Divorce Last Year
Jonas filed for divorce from Turner in September of last year. The couple posted a joint statement on Instagram confirming their split, following rumors that they were headed for divorce.
“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” they wrote. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Not long after Jonas filed, Turner sued Jonas for wrongful detention, claiming that he was withholding their daughters’ passports and not allowing them to travel to England. In January of this year, Turner dropped the claim after they reportedly reached a parenting agreement.
Both stars have moved on to new romances since their split. Jonas was linked to model Stormi Bree, but they reportedly broke up earlier this year. He was later spotted with actress Laila Abdallah. Meanwhile, Turner has been linked to British aristocrat Peregrine “Perry” Pearson.
