Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck Spark Relationship Rumors 17 Years After Breakup

Are Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez back together? The pair have been seen hanging out multiple times after her split from fiancé Alex Rodriguez on April 15. The former World of Dance judge has been known to remain friendly with her exes including Marc Anthony with whom she shares twins Max and Emme. Naturally, fans are wondering if she has maintained the same kind of bond with Affleck over the years.

It seems like Lopez and Affleck are bonding over their recent breakups. He was spotted riding in a white SUV, the same one that belongs to Lopez. He allegedly hung out at her Los Angeles home multiple times in late April. The Batman actor was also seen dropping his car at the Hotel Bel-Air before being picked up and dropped off by the same SUV again.
Further fueling the rumors, the duo just stayed at the Big Sky Resort in Montana. They drove around together and even flew back to Los Angeles together after the trip. The SUV picked them up at LAX and took them to her home.
“They obviously have a romantic history, but at this point they only have a friendship,” a source told ET. “They both admire each other professionally, respect one another and feel comfortable with each other.”
A Look Back at Their Relationship History
Lopez and Affleck met in 2002 on the set of the movie Gigli. She was married to her second husband Cris Judd at the time, but the pair’s divorce was finalized in 2003. Lopez and Affleck went public with their relationship and got engaged in 2002 in the midst of her divorce battle. They earned the Hollywood nickname “Bennifer” and were one of the most talked-about celebrity couples.
In 2003, Lopez and Affleck postponed their wedding just days before the big event. They claimed it was “due to the excessive media attention.” The couple officially broke off their engagement soon after in 2004.
Lopez and Affleck went their separate ways and moved on with other partners. Lopez married Anthony in 2004 and they divorced in 2012. Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005 and the pair had three children together before calling it quits in 2015.
Lopez and Rodriguez began dating in 2017 and were living as a blended family before the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to postpone their wedding twice. Rumors about their breakup were swirling for a while before it was officially announced.
Affleck just went through a breakup of his own with actress Ana de Armas. The pair dated for 10 months before calling it quits.
