Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez Plan Wedding In THIS Country With High Coronavirus Cases

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have definitely had a whirlwind romance. The pair got engaged in March and wanted to get married right away. However, the coronavirus outbreak has halted their plans to have their dream wedding abroad.
The Location Of Their Nuptials Has Finally Been Revealed
The pair got engaged on a romantic getaway in the Bahamas so its no surprise that they want to get married overseas. Lopez and Rodriguez plan to tie the knot in Italy. Italy is one of the countries that has been hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic. There have been 165,155 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Italy and 21,645 people have died from it in the country alone. While they hoped to get married this summer, it doesn’t seem like that will be a reality.
They will most likely have to push back the date of their wedding until coronavirus stops spreading around the world. There are also several travel advisories in place that urge Americans not to travel to Italy at this time. The cities of Lombardy and Veneto have been particularly off-limits because of high community transmissions of the virus. It looks like the star couple will just have to wait for this one out.
Jennifer Lopez Spoke To Ellen About The Uncertainty Of Their Wedding Date
On a virtual appearance for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Lopez spoke about how she is happy to be spending more time at home amid the coronavirus outbreak. She said she was “making the best of it.” Both her and Rodriguez’s children are with them while they quarantine and help them with online school. She joked about how hard some of their math homework is.
When asked about how coronavirus will affect her upcoming nuptials, she said, “It did affect it a little bit, so we will see what happens now. Honestly, I really don’t know what’s going to happen now, as far as dates or anything like that.” She said that because of coronavirus, the couple is in “kind of in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. So, again, it’s something we’re just going to have to wait and see (in) a few months how this all pans out.”
DeGeneres suggested that the pair get married on TikTok because it would get a lot of views. “It’s something to think about,” Lopez joked. The pairs “Flip the Switch” TikTok challenge previously went viral. It definitely would be cool to see the world’s first TikTok wedding but it doesn’t seem like that will become a reality for Lopez and Rodriguez.
This Isn’t The Only Celebrity Wedding To Be Postponed
Lopez and Rodriguez are not alone in waiting to see when they can have their dream overseas wedding. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom planned to have their dream wedding in Japan early this summer. The wedding was postponed due to coronavirus fears and they did not want their 150 guests to contract the virus. And it is definitely not safe for Perry to travel during this time while she is pregnant.

Actress Emma Stone and fiancé Dave McCary also had to postpone their March wedding and have yet to announce another date. While actress Taraji P. Henson moved her wedding to Kelvin Hayden to July in the hopes that coronavirus cases would diminish by then. There is no telling when any of these famous pairs will actually be able to get married but when they do, we hope they have the fairytale weddings that they envisioned.
