Jake Zyrus Goes On Social Media Break
On Tuesday, May 23, Zyrus announced his decision through a statement on his Instagram page. The singer began his message by recognizing his inactivity in social media in general.
“Hi all! I know I don’t post a lot, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I’ll be taking a break from social media for a few weeks to focus more on my mental health,” he wrote.
The musician then went on and revealed that a number of people have attempted to penetrate his system online. Thus, as a response, Zyrus chooses to detoxify from the digital world.
“It’s been a rough ride. A lot of people have tried to break me, so this is me fighting back, by healing,” he wrote.
Fully aware that healing is “not gonna be easy,” the singer also knows that it’s necessary to remove himself from the internet. Zyrus then concluded his statement by encouraging others who experience the same to take a well-deserved break as well.
