AGT Winner Bianca Ryan Wants to Start a Girl Group
“Kinda wanna start a girl group on the side,” Ryan wrote on Twitter Sunday, along with a thinking face emoji. “Just might do it this year. Name your favs! Or yourself! Who knows!”
One user responded by telling Ryan, “A fans only girl group would be fabulous.” Others showed their support for the idea by liking the post.
Ryan won the first season of AGT in 2006 when she was just 11 years old. She’s since released music as a solo artist, but it would be interesting to see her perform as part of a girl group. Plus, the genre has a connection to talent shows, as the girl groups Fifth Harmony and Little Mix were both formed on The X Factor.

What Has the Singer Been Up to Lately?
Ryan released her self-titled debut album in 2006 after winning AGT. She followed that up with The Reintroduction in 2019, with several EPs and singles to round out her catalog. Last year, Ryan released a new version of her 2006 single “I Wish That,” as well as a cover of Britney Spears’ “Lucky.”
The singer underwent vocal surgery in 2016 after one of her vocal cords was paralyzed, and she was told she may never sing again. In 2019, Ryan returned to the Got Talent stage for the first season of AGT: The Champions.
Ryan delivered an amazing performance of “Say Something” as part of the spin-off, but she unfortunately wasn’t chosen as one of the Champions finalists. You can follow the singer on TikTok, where she posts cover videos and singing challenges.
