America’s Got Talent alum Jackie Evancho recently took to Instagram to share a serious message with her fans. She warned them about fake accounts claiming to be her, explaining that her family just had a scary incident at home.

“Very recently, within the hour, an individual — unknown individual — showed up at my family residence in search of me, clearly very frustrated, claiming that they had been speaking to me,” Evancho shared in a new video.
The singer continued by saying that there are “a lot of imposter accounts on social media pretending to be me.” She reminded fans that if an account doesn’t have a blue check mark attached to it, it’s not her.
“And so for your safety, my safety, and my family’s safety, please, please be aware of the blue check mark,” Evancho said, adding, “Everyone’s okay. The cops showed up. Everything’s fine, but it does bring to light a situation that I had to address.”
In the caption of her post, Evancho reminded fans, “Look for the blue check mark!” Fans in the comments shared how glad they were that everyone was okay.

Kelly Clarkson Is Dealing with a Similar Issue
Evancho’s video brings to mind a similar issue being faced by The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson, who has recently been granted two separate restraining orders against alleged stalkers.
Clarkson was granted a temporary restraining order against a woman who has repeatedly shown up to her home and left unwanted gifts. It was also reported that Clarkson filed for another restraining order against a man who appeared at her home in a semi-truck on Thanksgiving. According to TMZ, the order has been temporarily granted.
TMZ reports that the man, named Victor Fernandez, claimed that Clarkson told him to meet her there, although the star says she has no idea who he is. He reportedly told security, “This is the second time she has done this … unless I am speaking to a scammer or something.”
