Canada’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel recently teased the upcoming new season of the show by sharing some details about the act who earned his Golden Buzzer. Based on what we’ve seen of the season so far, he might have just spoiled things.
Howie Mandel Teases Canada’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer
Mandel recently appeared on the podcast The Schaub Show, hosted by Brendan Schaub. In a YouTube clip from the episode, Mandel brought up the topic of his Golden Buzzer act this season. He said he “can’t even tell you what it is.”
Nevertheless, the judge went on to give a few details, saying, “It’s a girl that makes noises. That’s it.”
That might sound vague, but we’ve actually already seen an act from this upcoming new season that seems to fit Mandel’s description. Last month, the show teased an act from a female performer that seemed to involve some unusual noises.
In the clip, the judges can be seen reacting to the woman’s performance, which seems to involve wildlife sounds. At the end of the video, Mandel can be seen smiling and saying the act is “amazing.” Was it enough to earn his Golden Buzzer?
The New Season Premieres March 21
Canada’s Got Talent is returning later this month for a new season on Citytv, with all four judges coming back to the panel. Mandel will be joined by Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, and Kardinal Offishall at the judges’ table starting March 21.
Last season, singer Jeanick Fournier won the show after earning a Golden Buzzer in her audition from the show’s host Lindsay Ell. Who will be named the winner of this year’s competition? We’ll get to meet the contenders in just a couple of weeks.
CGT first premiered back in 2012 and aired for one season. A decade later, it was revived for a new season, which aired in 2022.
