Heidi Klum has been missing from the last few episodes of America’s Got Talent this season. We’ve known for a while that this was because Heidi fell ill during filming and had to go home.
In a recent interview with her fellow judges on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Heidi shared what it was like to show up to work feeling sick as the COVID-19 pandemic was hitting the United States.

“I came to set, and I had a fever, I had a cough, I wasn’t feeling good,” Heidi said of the day she left the show. “You know, when you have your body ache everywhere.” She said she told someone as soon as she got to set, and was examined by a medic.
“They dismissed me immediately, and sent me home,” she continued. Heidi quarantined at home and eventually got tested. “Thankfully, I never had it. I guess everyone did the right thing for sending me home.”

Heidi said it was “strange” to leave the show, saying she’s “very German” and is always on time and doing what she’s supposed to do. “I’ve never really been sick and been sent home, so it felt so bizarre.”
Eric Stonestreet filled in for Heidi as a guest judge. Simon Cowell joked that fellow judge Sofia Vergara said Heidi “should leave for the whole season.” Sofia shouted back at him, “No, I didn’t!”
Heidi Gets Her Hair Done During Quarantine
Kelly Clarkson pointed out that Heidi “found a socially distant way to get your hair done” during quarantine. Back in May, the model shared a photo of hairstylist Lorenzo Martin giving her highlights, using an umbrella to distance himself from her.

Heidi also happened to be wearing some sexy lingerie and high heels at the time. “No one’s looking at the damn umbrella,” Kelly said, prompting Heidi to explain that she didn’t want to mess up her outfit.
She also shared that she has someone in her family who has an autoimmune disease, so she’s been extra careful during the pandemic. “I haven’t really seen anybody, gone anywhere, done anything,” she said. And plenty of us can definitely relate.
