Where Is Heidi Klum On ‘America’s Got Talent’ This Week?

If you’ve watched any of the recent clips America’s Got Talent has leaked from this week’s episode, you may have noticed that Heidi Klum is missing from the judging table.
No, Heidi’s not invisible. There’s a good reason for her absence, but you might want to get used to not seeing her for a while. Read on to catch up on all the details before you watch this week’s show.
Why Isn’t Heidi Klum On ‘AGT’ This Week?
Back in March, when the COVID-19 pandemic was becoming a larger issue in the United States, Heidi Klum had to leave America’s Got Talent set due to illness. According to reports, Sofia Vergara, Simon Cowell, and Howie Mandel remained at the judges’ table without her.
Heidi ended up missing another day of shooting and was replaced on the panel by Sofia’s Modern Family co-star Eric Stonestreet. He filled in for Heidi for a few more episodes, as some fans speculated she could have coronavirus.

Eventually, AGT filmed without a studio audience and then ended up halting production entirely due to coronavirus concerns. They’ve since recorded episodes remotely, with all four original judges appearing from their own homes.
So if you see only three judges at the table, it’s likely those auditions were filmed on the day Heidi had to leave the set. After that, Eric Stonestreet will fill her chair for the in-studio auditions.
Did Heidi Have Coronavirus?
The timing of Heidi’s illness wasn’t great, and many fans suspected that she could have coronavirus. It took a while for her to get tested, and then she had to wait to receive the results.

“It felt strange to leave, but that was the right thing to do,” Heidi told People. “I told them how I was feeling. They looked at me, checked me out and said, ‘Yeah, go home.’ Then I was asked to get tested ASAP so that I could go back to work because we didn’t know that this was all unfolding the way it did. They were like, ‘Okay, get tested as fast as you can.'”
Heidi and her husband Tom Kaulitz both tested negative for coronavirus. By then, the show had shut down production, so Heidi never returned to set for Season 15. It will be interesting to see how the show changes as the episodes go on.
