Gwen Stefani Thought “Life Was Over” Until She Met Blake Shelton

Gwen Stefani was all ready to live a single life after a painful divorce, but meeting Blake Shelton was a game changer. In her recent appearance in The Drew Barrymore Show, Stefani shared how Shelton flipped her dull perspective in romance.
Gwen Stefani Says Her Marriage With Blake Shelton is a Miracle
It’s not a secret that The Voice coach Gwen Stefani was frustrated when she processed her separation from Bush member Gavin Rossdale. Convinced that luck was not in her favor in terms of marriage, Stefani supposed that she’ll never find love again. This seemed true until Shelton entered the picture.
“I was like ‘I’m gonna wake up everyday, I’m gonna gave a coffee, I’m gonna take care of my kids, and then I’m gonna go to bed.’ Like I’m never gonna kiss anyone,” she said. “I thought my life was over then Blake Shelton’s like ‘Hey! I’m Blake Shelton.'”
According to Stefani, marrying Shelton was something she didn’t see coming, like a miracle situation. Nonetheless, she supposed that it was God who put them together. Today, Stefani and Shelton are nearing their two years as a married couple, following their wedding ceremony in Oklahoma in July 2021. Stefani has always been aware of their differences, but Shelton is her best friend whose morals are the same as hers.
“Finding a best friend and someone that is like on the same plane when it comes to morals or like just the way you look at life, that’s the dream,” she said.
The “Hollaback Girl” singer was evidently proud of her husband. She praised Shelton for having 27 number one radio hits and having the most wins in The Voice.
She Says Her Dyslexia is a “Superpower”
Later in the interview, Stefani also talked about her younger years. Apparently, she barely graduated as a little girl in school.
“I just don’t know I felt like in third grade I was sinking,” she said. “I looked around and everyone knew what was going on and I was like ‘What world am I living in because this is not making sense to me.'”
At the time, Stefani hasn’t discovered that she has dyslexia, a learning disorder involving problems in speech. Nevertheless, when she rose to fame, she treated this condition as her “superpower.”
“I feel like I taught the world how to spell bananas and I can’t even spell,” she said.
The Voice’s Three-Way Knockouts just begun last Monday, with Stefani stealing Kevin Hawkins from Team Blake. Shelton, on the other hand, stole Rowan Grace from her.
