Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Started Dating in October 2015
Stefani and Shelton first met on The Voice in 2014, when they were both still married to their ex-spouses Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert. They eventually bonded over their divorces in 2015 and went public with their relationship in November of that year.
However, dating rumors started before that, especially when they were spotted spending Halloween together. For the holiday, Stefani dressed as a cowgirl with blood on her face. She addressed the costume in a recent interview with Access Hollywood, confirming that she and Shelton were dating at the time.
“October was probably our… I call it our anniversary,” Stefani shared, adding that her costume “probably was” a nod to Shelton’s country style.
A Twitter user posted the clip of Stefani’s answer, along with a photo of the couple on the night in question. They wrote, “Ok, so they were already a couple at that moment,” adding several emojis including heart eyes and a crying face.

Stefani Comments on Shelton’s Departure from The Voice
Stefani spoke to Access Hollywood at the NYWICI Matrix Awards in New York City, where she was being honored on Wednesday night. The star talked about Shelton’s decision to leave The Voice next year after 23 seasons on the show.
“He’s worked really hard, so he deserves a little change of pace,” Stefani said. “And it’s gonna be interesting to see how he fills his time, and I’m gonna have to find his new identity. ‘Cause for me, he’s The Voice.”
Stefani added that she’s “proud of him” and all his hard work, saying he’s “brought so much joy to so many people.” She said to the camera, “We love you, Blake. We all do.”
