Grimes Apologizes After Accusing Elon Musk of Hiding Son from Her

After hinting about a bad co-parenting dynamic with Elon Musk, Grimes is saying sorry to the public and clearing up the tension. The Alter Ego judge also cleared up the alleged tension between her and Neuralink director Shivon Zilis whom the Tesla CEO shares twins with.
Grimes Makes Public Apology After Attacking Elon Musk, Shivon Zilis
In a new tweet on Sunday, Grimes stated that she would “prefer to not breathe any more life into this current press cycle” and expressed her intentions to dilute the issue. According to the “Genesis” singer, she has finally talked things out with Zilis.
“This wasn’t her fault, plz don’t be angry at her!” she wrote. “We respect each other a lot and we’re excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together.”
In a now-deleted tweet, Grimes replied to Musk’s biographer Walter Isaacson and accused Zilis of hiding twins, Azure and Strider, claiming that it’s “ripping my family apart.” The singer also begged Musk to let her see her son.
“I truly apologize for responding to Walter like that. As u can imagine, that was a very gut level reaction to a thing that has been very hard for me. Communication about the twins wasn’t handled super well in the past, but I now totally understand what happened and totally forgive the situation,” she wrote.
Grimes went on, saying that women are so often pitted against each other. The singer subsequently stated that after speaking with Zilis, it’s been evident that “she’s an amazing human and we both just want what’s best for our kids.”
Amid the long tweet, Grimes refused to address her claim that Musk isn’t letting her interact with one of her sons. Meanwhile, the Tesla CEO neither confirmed nor denied the accusations.
Zilis Eases Tension, Replies to Her Tweet
Soon after Grimes’ tweet, Zilis took the time to further clear the air and respond to the singer. As per the venture capitalist, their conversation has fortunately “ended up for the best.” Zilis then thanked Grimes for taking the time to connect with her.
“So glad we had such a wonderful talk, was insanely overdue. You’re a total badass and I respect you very much as well,” she wrote.
Zilis went on and stated that she “can’t wait for kiddo play date.” She then congratulated the singer for Grimes and Musk’s third child, baby Tau.
The former pair has recently welcomed Tau Techno Mechanicus, both of them confirmed. Tau is addition to Musk and Grimes’s two children, son X AE A-XII (“X”), who arrived in May 2020, and daughter Exa Dark Sideræl (“Y”), who was born via surrogate in December 2021.
“I wish I could show u how cute little Techno is but my priority rn is keeping my babies out of the public eye,” she said. “Plz respect that at this time.”
