Go-Big Show Season 2 continued to bring some seriously crazy acts during Thursday night’s show. That includes Thomas Vu, who set a new World Record by solving a Rubik’s cube while he was on fire. The judges were blown away by the wild performance and chose to send him to the Semifinals.

‘Go-Big Show’s Thomas Vu Solves Rubik’s Cube While on Fire

Before his audition, Thomas admitted that he’s not the fastest at solving a Rubik’s cube, but he definitely brings a dangerous twist to the skill. He asked the judges to mix up the Rubik’s cube while he was covered in fire-retardant gel. He was then set on fire as he hurried to solve the cube.

To make things even scarier, Thomas’ hands weren’t protected as he performed the trick. The judges were on the edges of their seats as he took longer and longer to solve the cube. His white sweatshirt started turning black from the flames. It ended up taking him 29 seconds to finish it.

“Are we about to watch somebody burn alive?” new judge T-Pain wondered as Thomas performed. Jennifer Nettles said she was “mesmerized” by the act.

Will Thomas Be Able to Top This in the Semifinals?

Thomas was up against a horse act named Gladius in Thursday’s episode. Gladius earned a score of 89, while Thomas received a score of 92. It was a close competition, but their scores means that Thomas is on his way to the Season 2 Semifinals.

If you’re wondering whether Thomas will be able to top this performance by solving Rubik’s cubes in the rest of the season, the answer is apparently yes. Thomas shared that he still has more “stuff in store for you.” We can’t wait to find out what that is.
