Get Into the Christmas Spirit with Casey Bishop’s Rendition of “Blue Christmas”

American Idol fan favorite Casey Bishop has brought the Christmas spirit with her beautiful rendition of “Blue Christmas.” The teen singer recently released her cover of the seasonal song, further proving that her vocals and musical tastes are spot on.
Casey Bishop Covers “Blue Christmas”
The American Idol alum has performed great covers for classic songs before. She has covered “Live Wire,” by Mötley Crüe, and “Santeria,” by Sublime, her newest cover is an iconic holiday song from the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley.
Her reimagining of the holiday classic “Blue Christmas” features a modern-day spin to the iconic song. Bishop also adds her very own unique twist to the song’s composition that only she could do. Others that worked on the cover are Sean Colligan, who played the guitar, and Paige Blue, who worked on production. The Blue expressed her excitement for the opportunity to work on a song together with Bishop.
“Grateful to be a part of reimagining this holiday classic with Casey Bishop. It’s out now via 19 Recordings.” Blue wrote in a post.
The latest cover is her first release following her self-titled debut EP. The EP features the paranoia-packed song “Bad Dream,” along with the playful tune of “Don’t Talk.” Her latest cover, “Blue Christmas,” does away with the usual edginess of her songs and opts for a more seasonal beat together with rock and roll style guitar riffs.
What Has She Been Up To?
Her recent cover may serve as a big clue on what she’s been working on recently. In an interview, Bishop revealed that right now she’s relaxing at home and finishing school at her own pace. Meanwhile, she likes to spend most of her free time creating music for the fans.
“I am really happy and really really excited for those who are supporting me to listen to the music and finally, hear it all and finally get a taste of my own thing.” Bishop said.
Bishop also revealed she has been traveling back and forth to Los Angeles in her efforts to pursue music. She is steadily growing her career as an artist, and at such a young age, Bishop has already set herself up for future stardom.
