Everything We Know About ‘Canada’s Got Talent’ Revival Premiering in 2022

Howie Mandel will return to his home country for a revival of Canada’s Got Talent, which will premiere on Citytv in spring 2022. As the auditions finish up filming, some of the judges have begun giving fans a sneak peek of this year’s returning show.
The series filmed auditions between November 9 to 12 at the Fallsview Casino Niagara Falls, Ontario. It has been confirmed that semi-finals and live shows will also take place in this location. Throughout the filming process, judge Trish Stratus shared a series of daily video updates.
Trish Stratus Has Used Her Golden Buzzer
These video updates typically showed the judge in her hotel room talking about the episode she just finished filming. Each video is interesting within itself, but this particular day gave away some major information for fans.
“Day three of auditions is in the books! Super long days, but like really fun were just having a blast. Man is there some really really talented people in Canada… and some really untalented people in Canada,” said Stratus.
“We got one more day to go and people keep asking me ‘did I hit my Golden Buzzer?’ Well I’m going to tell you guys a little secret… if you tune into Citytv in the spring and watch Canada’s Got Talent you’ll see when I got so stratified that I had to hit the Golden Buzzer.”

Canada’s Got Talent will return to Citytv this spring, after a nine year hiatus. This series faced cancellation in 2012, but is now in the revival process. Fans are so excited about our favorite America’s Got Talent judge, Mandel at the judges’ table.
Alongside Mandel as judges are YouTuber Lilly Singh; professional wrestler Stratus; and Canadian rapper, music producer and DJ, Kardinal Offishall. Canadian country pop singer Lindsay Ell will host the upcoming series.
Before filming, the network shared that these Canadian heavyweights are striving to find the most talented people in the country. Stratus acknowledges that people with great talent will be on this show. The series will now be sharing updates on its Instagram page. Although there’s no set premiere date, it’s obvious that this has the potential to be a great season.
Is it possible that season 16 was our last time seeing Mandel on America’s Got Talent? It all depends on when Canada’s Got Talent begins and ends on Citytv. If the auditions of AGT are filmed while the prerecorded portion of CGT is airing, Mandel could do both shows.
We’ve seen Simon Cowell appear on both American and United Kingdom television around the same time, so I’m sure Mandel could do it too.
