Season 31 of Dancing With The Stars begins tonight! Here’s everything to look forward to for the show’s iconic Disney+ premiere.

The stakes are higher than ever for the Dancing With the Stars premiere. A new set of celebrities are about to take the ballroom for the first time. Who will be eliminated tonight? Only time will tell.

The Theme for DWTS Season 31 Premiere is Party Night

Dancing With The Stars will start strong with “party night” as the overall theme of the premiere. The dancing competition will feature classic pop music that each pair will dance to.

For those who may not know, all 16 pairs will perform their first dances tonight. These dances typically affect the mood of the entire season, so they all hope to do well. One pair will be eliminated at the end of the night.

There Will be 7 Cha Cha Performances

Dancing With The Stars recently released the songs each couple will be dancing to in the first night of the competition. Out of 16, seven pairs will do cha cha. Comedian Wayne Brady and Witney Carson will move in the fast rhythm of “She’s A Bad Mama Jama (She’s Built, She’s Stacked)” by Carl Carlton. Meanwhile, singer Jessie James Decker and Alan Bersten will enter the stage rolling to “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas will dance to “Savage (Major Lazer Remix)” by Megan Thee Stallion. While her mom, Heidi D’Amelio, will dance with Artem Chigvintsev to “Lady Marmalade” by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya & P!nk.

Actress Cheryl Ladd and Louis Van Amstel will dance to “Give It Up” by Marvin Gaye. While Jason Lewis and Peta Murgatroyd will dance to “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk. Finally, American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and Brandon Armstrong will cha cha their way to the ballroom in Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).”

2 Jive, 2 Salsa, 2 Tango

There will be two performances each of Jive, Salsa, and Tango in the first episode. Fitness model Joe Baena and pro Daniella Karagach will jive to “Pump It” by the Black Eyed Peas.

Subsequently, RuPaul’s Drag Race diva Shangela will mark his historic first dance with Gleb Savchenko. The two have prepared their salsa performance to “When I Grow Up” by The Pussycat Dolls. In dancing in the same style is CODA star Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart to “Barbra Streisand” by Duck Sauce. In addition, Bachelorette star Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy will jive to “As it Was” by Harry Styles.

1 Viennese Waltz, 1 Quickstep, 1 Foxtrot

Three dancing pairs will do Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, and Foxtrot. Here are those pairs. Good Morning America weather anchor Sam Champion and Cheryl Burke will do foxtrot to “Hold Me Closer” by Britney Spears and Elton John. While, 9021 actor Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater will attempt to get a hold of the mirrorball trophy by performing a quickstep to “Dancing with Myself” by Billy Idol. Last but certainly not least, Cruel Intentions actress Selma Blair and Sasha Farber will do Viennese Waltz to “The Time of My Life” by David Cook.

Dancing With the Stars premieres on Monday, September 19 on Disney+. The show’s live stream will begin on the streaming network at 8 p.m. ET, and end at 10 p.m. Fans from America and Canada will be able to vote for their favorite pairs.
