“It feels crazy,” Xochitl said when asked how it feels to have won the Mirrorball, adding that it hasn’t sunken in that she’s the winner. “Usually, after the show, I watch the show. And I haven’t had that moment yet. So I can’t really tell how real it is.”

Xochitl added that she “didn’t think that I’d make it this far.” Chmerkovskiy chimed in to jokingly say that it was “disrespectful” to him to suggest that. Xochitl assured him, “It wasn’t on you. It was me, bruh. I knew you’d get me to Week 5 at least.”

Chmerkovskiy said it “feels amazing” to have won his third Mirrorball, adding that there was “so much work that went into this.” He shouted out the other people on the show who contribute to making the performances look great.

Xochitl Offers to Babysit for Chermkovskiy

During the GMA interview, Xochitl also shared that she has volunteered to babysit Chmerkovskiy’s baby son Rome, whom he shares with his wife and fellow DWTS pro Jenna Johnson. Rome is the couple’s first child together.

“I’m down anytime,” Xochitl said of the babysitting gig. “I think that’s kind of my excuse, because I feel like Rome is such a cutie.”

Host Juju Chang suggested that Xochitl “commands a huge salary” as a Marvel star. In response, the actress told Chmerkovskiy that she would give him a “discount” for her babysitting services.

When asked what advice she would give to people who are trying something new or challenging, Xochitl said, “I think the only thing that can truly get you to the place that you want to be is your own determination, and your own mindset. And to not overthink. To have fun.”
