DWTS Tour Family Celebrates Xochitl Gomez Graduating
After winning Season 32 of the show last year, Xochitl will be performing for part of the upcoming DWTS tour, starting January 11. The actress’s tour family made sure to mark Xochitl’s recent high school graduation with a sweet celebration.
In photos and videos shared to social media, the cast can be seen surprising Xochitl by throwing confetti as she walks into the room. Her Season 32 partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, can also be seen handing her an unofficial diploma while wearing a graduation cap.
In another clip, the cast members chant Xochitl’s name as she wears the cap and holds her certificate, which reads, “Straight from high school to Dancing with the Stars. You can do it all and you do it with a smile!!”
At 17 years old, Xochitl is one of the youngest winners of the Mirrorball trophy. However, the title of youngest belongs to gymnast Laurie Hernandez, who won Season 23 (also with Chmerkovskiy) at the age of 16.
