Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Daniella Karagach is nominated for an Emmy for her choreography on Season 30. Karagach won the competition last year with her partner Iman Shumpert, showing off some amazing routines. The dancer celebrated her nomination on Instagram.
Daniella Karagach Nominated for a Choreography Emmy
Karagach’s nomination is in the Outstanding Choreography For Variety Or Reality Programming category. She specified on Instagram that the dances nominated are her and Shumpert’s Halloween Night routine themed to Us, and their Jazz routine to “Dark Fantasy” by Kanye West.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this but your girl is an EMMY NOMINEE,” Karagach wrote on Instagram. She went on to thank several people involved in the show, telling them, “I hope you know how lucky I feel to be guided by you all.”
She also gave a special shoutout to her dance partner Shumpert, writing, “Thank you for agreeing to put up with all my crazy (very stupid at times) ideas that somehow worked … ITS ALL YOU dude. I couldn’t have done it with anyone else. Thanks for making me an Emmy nominee.”

Derek Hough Receives Nomination in the Same Category
Dancing with the Stars judge and former pro Derek Hough also received a nomination in the same category as Karagach. He and Tessandra Chavez are nominated for their choreography work on Step Into… The Movies with Derek and Julianne Hough, a special that aired earlier this year.
“Wow wow wow!!!! So thankful to share this beautiful nomination with my dear friend and brilliant @tessandrachavez,” Hough wrote on Instagram to celebrate the news.
The nomination comes from their work on the Moulin Rouge segment of Step Into…The Movies With Derek and Julianne Hough. Within this segment, Hough danced with his fiancée Hayley Erbert. Hough shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the dance on his post. Hough is a three-time Emmy Award recipient in this category, so it’s interesting to see him and Karagach against one another.
