‘Drag Race’ Judge Michelle Visage Plays Safe As She Addresses ‘The Masked Singer’ Rumors

RuPaul’s Drag Race panelist Michelle Visage recently addressed the speculations that she’s behind the Jellyfish mask on The Masked Singer UK season 4. Apparently, Visage neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.
Michelle Visage Responds to Current The Masked Singer Allegations
Appearing on The One Show, Michelle Visage took the time to talk about the looming RuPaul’s DragCon UK 2023. However, elsewhere in the conversation, hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas have managed to redirect the topic to The Masked Singer.
Specifically, the two quizzed the Drag Race judge on whether she could be the artist behind Jellyfish costume. While keeping a poker face, Visage teased fans with a mysterious answer.
“There are always rumors and that’s the fun about shows like The Masked Singer,” she said. “If I told you, I’d ruin it.”
The British version of the singing reality show is currently in full swing, since it premiered its first episode one January 1. With 12 new anonymous celebrities gracing the popular competition, fans are once again on detective mode.
The Jellyfish particularly caught the attention of the viewers, with some completely convinced that it was Michelle Visage. According to the clue package, Jellyfish was “all about love” and one who “unexpectedly won” something before.
“Give me good vibes only, that’s a great salutation. Let’s love and not hate, like a funny animation,” he riddle reads.
Having these clues, most fans believe that Jellyfish is female. Such strong speculations rose after it sang “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses.
Some Fans Have Other Guesses
While many rest by the assumption that Jellyfish is Visage, some fans have other opinions. On Reddit, one user admitted that Jellyfish is, by far, the hardest to guess among all the characters. Nonetheless, some speculate Kelly Rowland and Jessie J to be the voice behind the sea creature-themed mask.
“I am convinced its Jessie J, I knew as soon as I heard the voice so I went back through the clues to match her,” one person wrote. “She won the X Factor in China (so that is pretty unexpected).”
The Masked Singer judging panel also have their fair share of guesses. For Joel Dommett and Rita Ora, Jellyfish could potentially be Alexandra Burke. On the other hand, Jonathan Ross thinks it’s Michelle Keegan while Mo Gilligan guesses Judi Love.
