Donny Osmond, formally known as the “Peacock” on The Masked Singer, shared a video preparing for his new concert series. This season one runner up is starting his Las Vegas residency on August 31. The superstar will perform almost every night until residency conclusion on October 2. That’s a lot of performing for a 63-year-old!
It just goes to show that Osmond still has a passion for performing in front of an audience, no matter his age. He’s been singing since he was young and still loves performing for an audience. Who gets burnt out? Definitely not Osmond!
“It has been a lot of hard work and late nights, but it’s all worth it,” said Osmond’s caption on his Instagram reel. “I’m really proud of the show my team and I are putting together for you all.”
“Who” a New Song by an Old Talent
On June 30, Osmond put out a new pop single named: “Who.” This is his first new song in a while and the track is extremely upbeat. I’m not going to lie, if this song came up on the radio, I wouldn’t have known it was Donny Osmond.
Osmond is really such a versatile performer when it comes to his genre. He’s also literally timeless in the world of music. He’s able to keep his popularity, while putting out music that sounds similar to today’s hits. It’s really cool to think about how Osmond has older fans who loved him throughout the ’70s and will have younger fans who are just finding him now.
The YouTube comments on the video are nearly as entertaining as the video itself. Almost everyone is talking about how Osmond is old and still knows how to move his hips.
He may be the only 63-year-old who can still shake his hips like that, too! I hope I can move my hips like that at 63.
