Travis Scott is holding a virtual concert tour in Fortnite this week. Yes, you read that right. The rapper is performing a concert inside a video game. The series of shows is called Astronomical, a play on his 2018 album Astroworld.
According to The Verge, Travis will be holding concerts over several days later this week, in order for people in different time zones to attend. He’ll also be premiering a new song during the concert. Read on to find out more about this interesting event.
Travis Scott Holding Concerts In Fortnite
Video game company Epic Games describes Astronomical as “an other-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jack’s creations, built from the ground up in Fortnite.” Check out the concert times below, and be sure to show up 30 minutes early to get a spot.
April 23: The Americas, 7PM ET
April 24: EU & ME, 10AM ET
April 25: Asia & Oceania, 12AM ET
April 25: EU & ME, 11AM ET
April 25: The Americas, 6PM ET
Starting on April 21, Fortnite players can also get a Travis Scott skin, and if you attend one of the concerts, you can get an Astroworld Cyclone Glider and two loading screens. Plus, you’ll be able to complete Astronomical in-game challenges starting Tuesday.

As The Verge points out, Travis has previous Fortnite experience. He played in a Twitch stream with Drake, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins in March 2018.
This Isn’t The First Fortnite Concert
If you’re not familiar with Fortnite, it might surprise you to learn that this isn’t the first time an artist has held a concert within the game. The DJ Marshmello held a live performance last February. It was hugely popular, with 10.7 million players attending.

Considering fans are unable to see their favorite artists perform live due to coronavirus, performances like this are the next best thing. Some singers have even performed remotely for events like this weekend’s One World: Together At Home concert.
Gamers are also using the worlds of their favorite games to hold personal events that had to be canceled. For example, a couple recently held their wedding in Animal Crossing.
