From conquering the beauty world and the small screens to being a successful entrepreneur and working mom, Kim Kardashian really has done it all. After becoming an advocate for social justice reform and helping wrongfully convicted people be released from prison, the mogul has just signed a deal with Spotify for a podcast that delves into the case of Kevin Keith.

Kim Kardashian’s Spotify Criminal Justice Podcast Will Focus On Kevin Keith

Kardashian will be joined by Lori Rothschild Ansaldi as a co-producer. Ansaldi has been investigating Keith’s case, a black man who was convicted of a triple homicide in 1994. He was accused of shooting and killing Marichell Chatman, her 4-year-old daughter Marchae, and Marichell’s aunt Linda Chatman and wounding three others. He has maintained his innocence and was sentenced to execution. In 2010, his sentence was commuted to life without parole. Kardashian who is studying to be a lawyer wants to delve deeper into the case and use her platform for outreach about criminal justice reform. She tweeted about Keith’s case in 2019 and how she wanted to learn more about it.

She even met Keith through video chat and tweeted that she hoped he would be released soon.

In the past, Kardashian has appealed for the release of Alice Johnson who was serving a life sentence for a drug offense. She enlisted a team of lawyers to work on Johnson’s case and she was finally freed in June 2018. In 2019, Johnson even modeled for Kardashians shapewear line Skims, which shows that she is trying to help women that were wronged by the criminal justice system by giving them new opportunities. Kardashian has also spoken out about the cases of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd as Black Lives Matter protests took place all over the world to call for justice for their murders. She even offered to pay the medical bills for a teen that was shot in the face with a rubber bullet by police at one of the protests.
