Derek Hough’s Wife Hayley Erbert “Is In Stable Condition” After Emergency Surgery

On Thursday, Derek Hough published a text post to Instagram, detailing his wife’s urgent hospitalization following their Symphony of Dance show in Washington D.C.. According to the Dancing With The Stars judge his wife is “in stable condition.”
On Wednesday, December 6, Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert’s Symphony of Dance tour took the stage in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Apparently, after the dance show, Erbert was rushed to the hospital. The following day, Hough shared the details of his wife’s medical emergency.
“At the end of last night’s tour performance in Washington D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital,” he wrote in the text post. “She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniotomy. She is in stable condition.”
Hough concluded the message by thanking first responders and medical personnel for helping Erbert. At this time, Hough is asking “for your prayers and positivity.”
As of writing, Hough has shared no information related to the conclusion of their tour. For those who may not know, the Symphony of Dance tour is set to hit the stage on December 7 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. From there, they are set to travel to Florida, Texas, Arizona, California, Idaho, and Nevada, where they’ll conclude. The tour is set to conclude on December 30.
The Couple Married Earlier This Year
Ahead of the beginning of the Symphony of Dance tour, Erbert and Hough tied the knot. The couple wed in a “fairytale” wedding in Monterey County, California on August 26, 2023.
Hough popped the question a year earlier on June 2, 2022. The couple has shared various videos detailing their intimate at-home engagement, as well as everything that happened leading up to it. Before getting engaged, the couple had dated for nearly seven years. They first met in 2014 when Erbert was cast as a dance in Derek and Julianne Hough‘s touring dance show.
