Derek Hough, Darren Criss Perform Silly Holiday Song Ahead of Disney Parade

Derek Hough and Darren Criss teamed up for a silly Instagram video ahead of their appearances in this year’s Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade. Criss lip synced to one of his Christmas songs while the Dancing with the Stars judge showed off a few dance moves.

Both Criss and Hough wear red and white Santa hats in the fun new clip, and Criss even wears an ugly Christmas sweater. Criss mouths along to his song “Christmas Dance,” off his album A Very Darren Crissmas, while Hough dances.

“Do the twist, twist, twist, twist / Twist it like you made it on the naughty list,” Criss sings on the track. “And then you shake, shake, shake, shake / Shake it while you’re waiting for your cookies to bake.”

Eventually, Criss joins Hough for the dance, as they both show off their best twist and a little shimmy to represent the shake. As Criss captioned the clip, “Weird I didn’t even know there was a camera rolling. This is just what @derekhough and I do when no one’s looking.”

When to Watch This Year’s Disney Christmas Parade

Derek Hough and his sister Julianne will host this year’s Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade from Walt Disney World, while Trevor Jackson and Sherry Cola will handle things from Disneyland. Criss will be performing his song “Christmas Dance” during the special.

The parade will air on Christmas morning on ABC at 10 a.m. ET and 9 a.m. CT/PT. It will be available to stream the next day on Hulu. The Hough siblings will also perform during the special, along with Jimmie Allen, Kristin Chenoweth, Gwen Stefani, and more.

Derek and Julianne Hough are no strangers to hosting Christmas festivities on television. In 2019, they had their own holiday special on NBC called Holidays with the Houghs.
