David Archuleta Releases New Song “Faith in Me”
Archuleta’s new song is backed by drums and guitar, as he sings about someone who makes him “feel alive.” In the song’s chorus, he sings, “We don’t have to stay here / We don’t really have to take it slow / Baby, you can put your faith in me.”
This is followed by some ’80s-inspired synth sounds that are sure to have fans busting a move. Later in the song, Archuleta’s vocals echo before he sings, “Every time you touch me it’s like I’m on fire / And I’m about to let my feelings win.”
In the single’s black and white artwork, Archuleta wears jeans and white sneakers, leaning forward into the frame and running his hand through his hair. Hopefully this new release is a sign of things to come for the singer.

Archuleta Had Vocal Surgery This Year
In February, Archuleta canceled his OK, All Right tour due to vocal health concerns. The singer initially had to postpone several dates to make time for vocal rest, but he ended up needing more time, as he revealed that he had hemorrhaged a vocal cord.
In March, Archuleta shared that he had undergone vocal surgery, and it went well. In May, he appeared on the American Idol 20th anniversary special, although he wasn’t able to perform or speak out loud. He was taken off vocal rest not long after that.
Archuleta released his last new single, “Beast,” in 2021. His last studio album, titled Therapy Sessions, was released in 2020. Recently, he’s been performing in a Utah production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
