Country Star Ashland Craft of ‘The Voice’ Will Make History at WrestleMania
Country star Ashland Craft will be singing “America the Beautiful” at WrestleMania 37 this weekend. She previously competed on Season 13 of The Voice. Talent shows are always a great launchpad for singers to start their careers and she is certainly becoming an artist to watch in 2021.
‘The Voice’ Alum Ashland Craft Will Perform at WrestleMania
Craft auditioned for The Voice in 2017 with “You Are My Sunshine.” Blake Shelton turned his chair for the South Carolina native in a span of 20 seconds. Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus also turned their chairs, which led to an all-out battle to get Craft on their teams. Ultimately, she chose to be on Team Miley.
She was eliminated during the live shows. Though she didn’t win The Voice, the 24-year-old has stayed on everyone’s radar due to her authentic country sound. In April 2020, she announced that she signed her first record deal with Big Loud Records. Craft also opened up on tour for country superstar Luke Combs.
Craft, who has had a love for music since she was a child, was just included on CMT’s “Next Women of Country Class of 2021.” She released a music video for her song “Two Wildflowers And A Box Of Wine” last November.
Now, she will be making history as the first-ever female country artist to sing “America the Beautiful” at WrestleMania.
“Honored to be singing ‘America the Beautiful’ at @WWE’s WrestleMania! Y’all make sure to tune in this Sunday night,” she wrote on Instagram.
Craft is one of the many contestants that has found success after appearing on The Voice. Check out the video below to see who tops the list as the most successful contestant of all time.
Where and How to Watch Her Performance
If you are a fan of The Voice or a fan of Craft, you can tune in to WrestleMania 37 this weekend to see her perform. The event is taking place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. This is a two-night event beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday and again on Sunday. Craft will perform Sunday.
The event will stream live only on Peacock in the United States. A subscription is $4.99 per month. It’s a bit pricier if you would like to watch shows ad-free. For those who are outside of the United States, you can watch on WWE Network.
However, if you are looking for a little hack, NBC offers a free trial for a week of Peacock streaming service. You can sign up here. For those seeking a list of wrestling matches that will take place over the course of the two-night event, check out the official WWE website.
Craft isn’t the only music superstar who will have a major television moment at WrestleMania. Rapper Bad Bunny will team up with Damian Priest to face off against The Miz and John Morrison.
