BIO: Tessanne Chin joined The Voice because she saw it as a way to have her big break as an international star. In her audition, she sang “Try” by P!NK and turned the chairs of all of the coaches. She went through the competition on Team Adam and repeatedly made it onto the iTunes charts. Tessanne obtained the highest number of votes in The Voice history at the time. Following the series, she released her debut album with Republic Records.
Tessanne was surrounded by music in her youth since her parents were in a band called The Carnations. Her mom was a singer and trumpet player in the group, while her father played the drums in the group. Her debut album was released in 2010.
In 2011, Tessanne married long-time boyfriend Michael Anthony Cuffe Jr. After four years of marriage, they divorced in 2015. In 2019, Tessanne then married Brandon Crooks and they welcomed their first child together on February 1, 2020.
