BIO: Kandi Burruss rose to fame as part of the vocal group Xscape in 1992 and has continued to gain traction in the media ever since. After multiple chart topping singles, this group began a hiatus in 2005. Around this time, Burruss began her solo music career. She also wrote major songs including “No Scrubs” for TLC, “Bills, Bills, Bills” for Destiny’s Child, and “There You Go” for P!NK.
In 2009, she joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta replacing DeShawn Snow. Since her debut on the series, she’s become the longest-serving cast member. In her time with The Real Housewives franchise she’s been featured in three spin-off series, The Kandi Factory, Kandi’s Wedding, and Kandi’s Ski Trip. Burruss married her current husband, Todd Tucker during the spin-off Kandi’s Wedding.
Outside of the franchise, Burruss has been featured as a contestant on both The Masked Singer and Celebrity Big Brother, she has also been a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Burruss made history as the first female winner of The Masked Singer in season three.
