BIO: In 2014, Josh Kaufman auditioned for season six of The Voice. His audition of “One More Try” by George Michaels turned each of the judges’ chairs. He chose to join Team Adam, but was stolen by Team Usher in the battle rounds. He was announced as the winner of The Voice on May 20, 2014.
This The Voice winner was no stranger to talent shows before his audition. He appeared on Star Search in 2011 and even auditioned for season one of The X Factor (U.S.) After growing up in Virginia, he moved to Indiana, where he formed a rock and soul band called The New Etiquette. They released a six track self-titled EP in 2012.
Following his win, Kaufman appeared in multiple performances in Indiana. He played the title role in the 2013 Broadway revival of Pippin, the show closed in 2015. In 2016 he released his self-titled debut album and returned to Broadway for the show “Home For the Holidays” a year later. As of November 2016, Kaufman has five children with his wife, Jennifer Myer.
