BIO: Craig Wayne Boyd sang “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin” by Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart during his 2014 The Voice audition. He turned the chairs of two coaches, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams, then decided to join Team Blake for the competition. During the battle rounds, he was stolen on to Team Gwen, but returned to Team Blake after the knockout rounds. Eventually, he won the series as part of Team Blake.

Boyd began his career in music at a young age under the heavy influence of gospel and country music. He played several instruments growing up and was also his church’s choir director. At the age of 25, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. At the time he signed a publishing deal with EMI. Ahead of The Voice, he was writing songs, touring, and opening for country icons like Jamey Johnson and Randy Houser.

After winning the series, Boyd signed a record deal with Universal Republic and Dot Records. He debuted at the Grand Ole Opry, then released his first single through the record deal. Soon after he left the company and released another single independently. In 2017, he signed a new record deal with Copperline Music Group. This singer married model Taylor Borland in 2016, they currently have five children. Boyd is a part of the group Texas Hill in 2022.
