The Canada’s Got Talent auditions have never been boring, but this season’s auditions took bizarre to a whole new level. In a recent episode, a ventriloquist named Damien James, brought his evil octopus puppet named Mr. Cuddles to the stage. The performance left the judges and the audience shocked.
Contestant Shocks Audiences With a Bizarre Clone
The auditions of CGT never cease to surprise us with their unique and jaw-dropping performances. James, known as Mr. Cuddles, took the stage with his evil octopus puppet and a bizarre machine called the “Clone-A-Tron.” The “Clone-A-Tron” is used to create an army of super soldiers to take over the world.
To achieve this, he needed human DNA, and where better to get it than from Howie Mandel’s dressing room. With Mandel’s toothbrush in hand, Mr. Cuddles extracted his DNA, then used the Clone-A-Tron.
However, the “Hideous Mutant” setting was accidentally switched on, so the Mandel clone came out deformed. It had a small body and a large, moving head. The crowd and the judges were left speechless as they witnessed this strange creature come to life.
Howie Mandel, who was in on the act, was visibly fascinated by the small animatronic creature. He gave the contestant his first “Yes” vote while the other judges, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, and Kardinal Offishall, all gave the contestant their “Yes” votes, impressed by the unique and bizarre performance.
Who is Mr. Cuddles’s Creator?
James, professionally known as Mr. Cuddles, is the mastermind behind the creation of Mr. Cuddles, the evil octopus puppet that has taken the world by storm on CGT. But who is the man behind the puppet?
James is a talented special effects makeup artist and puppeteer, with an impressive resume in the film and television industry. In 2007, he worked as a lab technician for SFX Studio INC on the set of In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale and Kayfabe, where he honed his skills in special effects makeup.
In August 2018, James appeared on Penn and Teller Fool Us, where he successfully fooled the famous magician duo, becoming the first-ever ventriloquist and magician to do so. That same year, he also worked as a special makeup effects artist on the short film The Silver and as a puppeteer in the video The Aliens Ate My Homework.
As the competition continues, we can’t wait to see what other surprises James and Mr. Cuddles have in store for us. One thing is for sure, with James’ talent and creativity, anything is possible.
