‘AGT’ Star Colin Cloud Claps Back After Fan Confuses Him with Magician Mat Franco
Colin performs with Season 13 AGT winner Shin Lim at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas. Their show, Limitless, fuses sleight of hand magic and mind-reading in one very magical experience. It appears that Colin actually looks at reviews of the show online. One review stuck out to him because it praises Mat for his act. Mat is actually not involved in the show at all.
“You have to go see Shin Lin and Matt Franco,” an audience member wrote on Yelp. “They were mesmerizing and made you believe in the aww and wonder of magic.”
Colin, who is known as “The Real-Life Sherlock Holmes” has taken his act all over the world in sold-out shows. He was even brought back for America’s Got Talent: The Champions, blowing the judges minds every time he hit the stage. Over the past few years, Colin has performed shows at the The Palladium, The Marquis Theatre, and The Playhouse.
“The show started out with Matt Franco, he was so interactive, he reads minds,” the review continues. “He was able to duplicate exactly what an audience member was thinking live! Wow!”
Colin decided to call out the fan in a shady Instagram Story for his 68,000 followers to see. If your name is Linda P, you might want to go edit your Yelp review.
“That awkward moment Linda thought you were @MatFranco the entire show!!! We do look quite similar, the only way to tell us apart is that Mat owns a helicopter. Didn’t even spell Mat correctly…#Fail,” he wrote.
Mat is Celebrating a Vegas Milestone of His Own
Mat has not responded to Colin’s Instagram post yet. He is actually celebrating the six year anniversary of his show Magic Reinvented Nightly at the LINQ Hotel in Las Vegas. Mat was forced to take 411 days off from the show due to the pandemic. He is now happy to be back in action.
“Tonight as we celebrate this 6-year anniversary, I am so grateful for the amazing people I’m surrounded by each day,” Mat wrote on Instagram. “I’m as excited now as I was on our opening night, and that’s a credit to our outstanding audiences every single night since 2015.”
Magicians and mentalists from AGT have always been favorites along the Las Vegas strip. For those that can’t make it out to see the acts in person, Colin is actually hosting a one-time virtual show on August 28. To attend the show, you must donate a minimum of $40 to the cause of his choice.
