The Masked Singer Season 14 will return on Wednesday for “Twilight Night,” as the show pays tribute to the popular vampire saga. Ahead of the premiere, the show shared a sneak peek at a performance by Christina Perri, singing her hit song “A Thousand Years” from Breaking Dawn.
Christina Perri Sings on The Masked Singer
“A Thousand Years” was written by Christina Perri and David Hodges for the 2011 film Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. For her performance of the track on The Masked Singer, Perri was accompanied by a trio of dancers representing the Twilight love triangle between Edward, Bella, and Jacob.
In the clip, Perri wears a black and white dress on the stage, which is decorated with flowers. As she sings the ballad, the dancers perform a dramatic routine around her, dressed in outfits inspired by the movie characters — including a wedding dress for Bella.
This week’s Twilight-themed episode comes just in time for Valentine’s Day, as The Masked Singer celebrates the beloved saga of books and movies about vampires and werewolves. The panelists will of course be dressing up for the occasion.
A new episode of The Masked Singer premieres this Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. The show has had several themed episodes so far this season, including Fear Night, Clueless Night, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Night, and Red, White & Clue Night.
In addition to this week’s Twilight-themed show, this season will also feature episodes dedicated to the late Ozzy Osbourne, Star Trek, Spice Girls, and Care Bears. Each episode will feature an unmasking, as we eventually learn which celebrities are under all of this season’s costumes.
