Charli D’Amelio Gets Real About Landon Barker Romance: “We Went Through a Lot”

Charli D’Amelio is taking it slow with her boyfriend Landon Barker. The TikTok sensation has recently given a glimpse of her romance status with the social media influencer, claiming that they are still going strong.
Charli D’Amelio Says She, Landon Barker Have Come Far as a Couple
Amid busy schedules and heated family drama, D’Amelio and Barker’s relationship remains floating. Speaking to TooFab, D’Amelio revealed what phase she and Barker are in as a romantic pair at the moment.
“Right now, everything’s great. I think we’ve come very, very far, just as people,” she said. “I think we went through a lot, both personally and together. Just growing up, like normal growing up things — growing up into a relationship, growing up into adulthood.”
D’Amelio went on and stated that they are still trying to figure out how to navigate their public relationship. According to the TikTok star, they go through “normal things everyone goes through,” only that they’re “in front of a lot more people.”
“I’m just so happy with how far we’ve come and where we are now,” she said. “And excited for whatever comes next between this journey of the two of us.”
D’Amelio and Barker initially confirmed their relationship in July 2022. The son of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker appeared on season two The D’Amelio Show before coming back for the series’ third season. Over the past year, the two have tried to keep their relationship as private as possible. Nonetheless, the public was also able to witness a couple of their PDA moments.
Their Love Triangle with Chase Hudson Spark Once More
Before Barker became D’Amelio’s beau, she first had a relationship with Chase Hudson, Barker’s former close friend. It’s thus natural for everyone to be shocked when D’Amelio and Barker revealed their romance.
Shortly after finding out about D’Amelio and Barker’s romance, Hudson dropped a song titled “All The Things I Hate About You.” Seemingly, this song heavily allude to an ex which he called a “homie hopper” and a “drama starter.”
News behind the DWTS alum and Hudson’s breakup has been unclear, but the love triangle has remained a hot topic among their followers. This issue has especially been dug up, now that Barker appears to look back on the past with his recent song release. Titled Friends With Your Ex, D’Amelio’s boyfriend is seemingly referencing their past issue.
“I was friends with your ex. You were with him when we met. Guess he hasn’t found out yet, but I know he’s gonna kill me when he sees me with you,” the lyrics said.
Upon the release, fans immediately looked back on their past drama, calling Hudson out for being “too specific.” As per the supporters, Barker and D’Amelio should already move on from the past.
Amid all speculations, D’Amelio hasn’t spoken about the issue yet.
