Charli D’Amelio Reveals ‘DWTS’ Affected The Whole Family on ‘The D’Amelio Show’ Trailer

Charli D’Amelio is revealing some family conflict in season three of The D’Amelio Show. In the new trailer of the Hulu series, the TikTok star admitted that her competition against her own mother Heidi D’Amelio on Dancing With The Stars was a challenging time in their household.
Charli D’Amelio Says Competing Against Her Mother Heidi on DWTS was “Really Tough”
Hulu has recently unveiled the official trailer The D’Amelio Show season three, and fans can already tell that it’s going to be juicy. In Charli’s interview clip, the former competitive dancer tapped on the previous tension that their family dealt with during her and Heidi’s time on DWTS.
“Dancing With The Stars was hard on everyone. It was really tough on our family,” she said.
For those who may not know, Charli won Dancing With The Stars season 31 alongside partner Mark Ballas. Meanwhile, the 51-year-old mom influencer lasted until week eight of the competition with pro Artem Chigvintsev.
In the preview, Charli admitted that there’s a “really confusing dynamic” within their four-member household. For dad Marc, DWTS robbed a “ton of time” from their family.
“It was just a mess and not everyone is just fine,” Dixie said.
During the dancing reality series’ Disney Night, Charli reflected on the competition between her and her mother. Proving their healthy rivalry, the TikTok star stated that she’s so proud of Heidi.
“I’m so proud of her. It’s so nice seeing her look so comfortable and be the star. That’s who I think she is, and that’s what she is to me,” she said.
D’Amelio Sisters to Talk About the Dating “In the Public Eye”
Apart from their family struggles, the 10-episode third season will also tackle Charli’s romance with rocker Landon Asher Barker. The trailer showed Charli admitting the pressure of having a relationship in the public eye. Ironically, Charli’s relationship with Barker was also mentioned on DWTS, when former host Tyra Banks couldn’t remember his name.
The preview also featured Dixie teasing “the real story” between her and media personality Josh Richards. Big sister D’Amelio also complained how the internet can cause goofy romance rumors.
“On the internet, every single person I’m next to, I’m dating,” she said.
Dixie also opened up about her mental health struggles, revealing that she was “in bed for the last three months of 2022.” Later, she said that she’s now “finding who I want to be.”
“With their futures on the line, the D’Amelio’s work to build their family business into an empire, but are Dixie and Charli yearning for more independence?” season three logline reads.
