Alex Trebek, the host of Jeopardy! since 1984 has sadly passed away at the age of 80 due to a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was loved in the entertainment world by many and tributes came flooding in to honor the legacy he built on and off our television screens.
Hollywood Mourns The Loss Of ‘Jeopardy!’ Host Alex Trebek
Alex previously announced his cancer battle back in March 2019 and received an outpouring of support from fans and celebrities. He has hosted 37 seasons of Jeopardy! with over 8,200 episodes, becoming one of the biggest names in prime time television of all time. Though he hinted at retiring back in 2018, his love for the show led him to sign a contract through 2022. His intelligence was demonstrated throughout the show which follows a question/answer format and he was always thirsting for knowledge.
The seven time Daytime Emmy Award winner was loved by all of Hollywood and celebrities flocked to social media to talk about this heartbreaking death.

Celebrities Continued To Honor The TV Legend
Over the years, there have been so many celebrities that have actually been the answers to questions that Alex has asked on Jeopardy! Many of them commemorated that moment and showed their love for Alex this weekend.
NFL player Larry Fitzgerald posted his Jeopardy! question and thanked Alex for “the knowledge you passed on to so many.”
Rest In Peace to the legendary Alex Trebek…will always remember when I heard this was a Jeopardy clue.
New, pre-taped episodes of Jeopardy! will continue to air with Alex as the host up until Christmas Day.
